PA-S LEAD Fall Events on DEI & Inclusive Care

Dear Ohio Association of PAs,
 
My name is Yasmine Yemofio, and I’m a PA-S2 at Boston University currently serving as a Director for PA‑S LEAD (Physician Assistant Students for Leadership, Equity, Anti‑Racism, and Diversity), a national student-run organization dedicated to advancing equity, inclusion, and anti-racism across the PA profession.

We’re excited to invite your community to two upcoming national events this fall. These free, virtual sessions are open to all PA and pre-PA students, faculty, and allies:

August 10 at 1 PM EDT
Breaking Barriers: Stories from Underrepresented PA Students
Hosted in conjunction with SAPAN (South Asian Physician Assistant Network), this student-led panel will highlight the voices and lived experiences of PA students from underrepresented backgrounds.

The Basics of Gender-Affirming Care
Presented by Joshua J. Lumsden, PA-C, this session will provide an accessible overview of gender-affirming care, offering foundational clinical knowledge and best practices.
